Have you tested yet?
The 19th – 25th November is European HIV testing week. To make sure every man who would like to test can test, the Steve Retson Project is offering an extra 32 hours of community testing over 2 venues and 7 days.
The Steve Retson Project are running free 60 second HIV testing clinics daily from Saturday 19th to Friday 25th November at The Riding Room, 58 Virginia Street, G1 1TX to help meet the extra demand during European Testing Week. Date and times are below.
During this time Sexual Health Advisors and Health Improvement staff from Steve Retson will be available at The Riding Room and next door in Delmonicas to answer any questions you may have, give out information and you can also pick up some free condoms while you chat.
If you’re not sure about whether to test or not you can read our Pros and Cons of testing SPR blog to help you make your mind up.
The main benefit of testing and knowing our current HIV status is we take control. Not knowing means uncertainty: about our health, how we negotiate the sex we want, as well as anxiety about passing it on to others.
Today people living with HIV can live a long and healthy lifespan when treatment starts early.
Surely it's better we know our status as soon as possible, get treatment if necessary, knowing that we won’t pass on HIV on to others?
Why not make this week, the week we take control. TEST.TREAT.PREVENT.
